In 1914, while exploring the winding riverbanks of the Red Deer River in Alberta, Canada, a remarkable discovery was made that would forever reshape the landscape of paleontology. Led by the legendary paleontologist Barnum Brown, an expedition team uncovered an astonishingly well-preserved skull and skeleton featuring delicate skin impressions within the ancient strata of Dinosaur Provincial Park, filling the modern research site with an air of profound awe. 


Adorned with a striking helmet-like cranial crest, this magnificent duck-billed herbivore was introduced to the academic world as Corythosaurus, instantly captivating fossil enthusiasts and scientists across the globe. Whenever I encounter this breathtaking fossil, the arduous yet rewarding journey of modern archaeology—where microscopic clues left by ancient life are meticulously pieced together—feels truly wondrous.
